Oncoceutics, Inc. is a drug discovery and development company targeting the most potent suppressor pathways in human cancer. Central to Oncoceutics’ scientific and technology base is a focus on drug discovery that engages natural potent tumor suppressor pathways. The first lead compound that came out of this program is ONC201, a small molecule that possesses significant antitumor activity in a number of different types of human cancer through a unique mechanism of action.
On February 28, 2014, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration accepted the Company’s Investigational New Drug (IND) application for the Phase I/II trials of ONC201, and the Company expects to begin clinical trials before the end of the year.
The R&D Associate position offers an opportunity to work with an experienced group of drug development executives to gain experience in the commercial development of therapeutics. This position will have direct involvement in multiple areas of pharmaceutical development with an emphasis on research and development in an accelerating clinical stage company. This position is ideal for a creative recent graduate or post-doc who wishes to gain multi-disciplinary experience in the commercial development of novel therapeutics.
•Full-time position that offers exposure to most essential areas of drug development: clinical
protocols; clinical correlative studies; regulatory compliance; intellectual property;
pharmacology; academic outreach; grant writing; investor communications; and writing
•Project management for internal research projects and external academic collaborations.
•Devise strategic research plans in areas of interest.
•Prepare research results for internal and external communication.
•Literature searches of interest for R&D and intellectual property.
•Prepare documents for public communications (conferences, publication, press releases) and
•PhD in biomedical science.
•Research experience in pharmacology. Knowledge of oncology preferrred.
•Excellent writing and other communication skills.
•Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
•Willingness to work in a start-up environment and take on wide-ranging areas of responsibility.
